Boogey the Beat

Boogey The Beat (Les Boulanger) is an Anishinaabe DJ and hip-hop producer who was born and raised in Wonderful Winnipeg, Manitoba. He started making beats in high school and quickly evolved into one of the best beatsmiths in the city.

Boogey The Beat has worked with Young Kidd, Winnipeg’s Most, Fresh IE, Joey Stylez, Burnt Project 1, Wab Kinew, Leonard Sumner (fka Lorenzo), Juice McCain (Blackwall Street), The Outlawz, along with other established artists in the city of Wonderful Winnipeg

Along with Winnipeg rapper, Young Kidd, their YouTube channel has received more than 1 million views and their latest collaborative effort, “10 X 10”, was nominated for Best Hip Hop CD at the 2010 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards. Their lead single titled “Hometown” was also nominated for Single of The Year.

Aboriginal Music Week 2016 Announces Full Festival Lineup and Performance Schedule
