To win a bet against her mother, and pocket a hundred dollar bill, young Lisa Marie Naponse learned to play and master Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison Blues. Today, her music can be described as rhythm and blues meets folk and country. Lisa Marie has performed several times at Crystal Shawanda‘s homecoming open mic, at the Summer Solstice Aboriginal Festival in Ottawa, and is a contributing member of Ottawa’s Indigenous Arts Collective: Fresh Tracks. She continues to pursue her goal of recording her music and sharing with her fans and community.
