Strummin’ Dog

Based In: Sitka, Alaska, US

Basically a self taught musician, Dave Galanin, aka Strummin’ Dog, has a love of “Delta Blues”. The style predominates what he has played for the past 14 years. He performs both originals and cover tunes of acoustic blues, playing with both integrity and authenticity in a sympathetic old-time way. His newest and third CD, Signify was recorded at Pulp Studio overlooking Silver Bay in Sitka, Alaska. Dave is Alaska Native, born and raised in Sitka. He is a silver carver by trade, creatinng jewelry and sculpture with precious metals in both traditional and contemporary style.
