The Last Kinection
Consisting of brother and sister Joel (Weno) and Naomi Wenitong (Nay) from the Kabi Kabi mob of South East Queensland and long time friend and DJ, Jacob Turier (DJ Jaytee), the trio break down stereotypes and introduce wider Australia to the next generation of Indigenous music artists. The Last Kinection (TLK) have established themselves as an empowering lyric-driven group with melodic production and a progressive hip hop feel, with an Indigenous essence. Tackling issues facing Australia has become part of their mantra. They are five time winners at the Deadly Awards and just released their second album Next of Kin.
