Métis artist Janet Panic was dubbed “a cross between Lou Reed and Leonard Cohen” by the Vancouver Sun. Those are big names to live up to, but the praise is well earned – Janet has been building her reputation as one of Canada’s best for the past ten years. She’s a sharp shootin’, smart and sexy songwriter and a captivating performer who moves fluidly between haunting ballads and up-tempo toe-tappers. Janet sent us this country twinged track from her “adventure in label relations/who knows if it will be properly released” album Out on a Limb and we’re inclined to take the song title personally. You should too.
