Blue Moon Marquee Will Hit the Road This Fall on Their Upcoming Gypsy Blues Tour

Blue Moon Marquee released their latest album Gypsy Blues at the top of the summer, and now A.W. Cardinal and Jasmine Collette will be hitting the road throughout October and November to spread their swingin’ jazz-blues from the badlands of Alberta to British Columbia on the Gypsy Blues Tour.

Also this past summer, Blue Moon Marquee played at the 2016 Lethbridge Jazz Festival, performing their song “Sugar Dime” in dedication to the Indigenous Peoples of Turtle Island, and especially to those in Standing Rock.

It’s a baddass tune, right? We love A.W.’s gritty vocal and Jasmine’s killer multi-tasking chops. Get yourself to one of the tour dates below to sing along.

LYRICS: “Sugar Dime”

Walking down these crooked streets in
ragged cloths and bruised up feet. Walking
down to the creek, we burned down our
apple tree darlin’. Sugar dime, my sugar dime,
pin these words to your power line. Give my
body, my heart, my soul back to the nation
and the territory. Well, they take you far from
grace, they give you another name. Don’t
speak your tongue boy; it’s a sin. They save
the man with the heart of kings darlin’. Sugar
dime my sugar dime, pin these words to
your power line. Give my body, my heart,
my soul back to the nation and the territory
back to the nation and the territory
back to the nation and the territory
