First Round of Voting Starts for 2011 APCMAs

July 14th marks start the first round of voting for the 2011 Aboriginal People’s Choice Awards.

Another year has gone by and, once again, we can choose our favourite Indigenous musicians of the year at the annual Aboriginal People’s Choice Awards, held in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the Manito Ahbee Festival since 2006.

The APCMAs have grown to become the largest Indigenous music awards show that always brings out the best in the business. Past winners include Shane Yellowbird, Crystal Shawanda, Inez and Joey Stylez. The winner are chosen by the fans and the show is always amazing.

This year has no shortage of Indigenous musicians for you to vote for, including amazing artists like Derek Miller, Samantha Crain, Jana Mashonee, Cris Derksen, Winnipeg’s Most and Lorenzo. To see the complete list of nominees for this years awards, check out the APCMA Artist Page.

To vote for your favorite Indigenous music artist this year, you will have to sign up on the ‘Sign Up’ page.

The 2011 Aboriginal People’s Choice Awards will be held November 4th, 2011 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Here’s the other important dates to follow:
