After our sold out first show in August, RPM Live returns in September with our second installment in the series, featuring Leanne Betasamosake Simpson and Ziibiwan.
After dropping her powerful new single, “Under Your Always Light,” Leanne’s new album, f(l)ight – a haunting collection of story-songs – will be released September 30 on RPM Records. RPM Live : 002 will mark the first time songs from the record will be performed live in Toronto, and Leanne will be performing with her full band, including Cris Derksen, Nick Ferrio, Ansley Simpson, and special guests. RPM Live : 002 will be Leanne’s album release concert and special limited-edition f(l)ight cassettes will be available at the show.
Toronto-based electronic artist/producer Ziibiwan will also be making his live performance debut in Toronto. Ziibiwan will perform songs from his recently released EP, Time Limits – the very first release on RPM Records.
#RPMLive offers a unique opportunity to see innovative Indigenous artists perform in an intimate setting with incredible sound, and to celebrate the diversity of our community and Indigenous music culture.

Leanne Betasamosake Simpson is a renowned Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg artist, musician, poet, and writer, who has been widely recognized as one of the most compelling Indigenous voices of her generation. Her work breaks open the boundaries between story and song – bringing audiences into a rich and layered world of sound, light, and sovereign creativity. Her new album, f(l)ight, will be released September 30 on RPM Records.
Ziibiwan is an emerging Anishinaabe, electronic artist/producer from Toronto, Ontario. Ziibiwan explores many different genres with his work but pulls most inspiration from contemporary R&B and alternative artists such as Radiohead and Björk; his ethereal, sonic landscape opens into deeply hypnotic spaces where land, sky, and deep sea meet. His debut EP, Time Limits, is the first release on RPM Records.
